Part-time applicant: You are a non-degree track student wanting to take a course.
Visiting student: You are currently attending another post-secondary institution and received permission from your home institution to take a course at UOIT.
Note: UOIT gives preference to applicants applying for full-time admission. Part-time applications will be considered on an individual basis. UOIT accommodates part-time applications with flexible schedules; however, it is not guaranteed that all classes will be offered on evenings and weekends.
An application for part-time studies is subject to space availability and is separate and distinct from course enrolment. Although we make every effort to release admissions decisions as soon as we can, part-time applicants may not be informed of a decision until the first week of classes.
You are required to provide proof that you have the necessary prerequisite courses for the course(s) you are applying for.
You are required to submit a letter of permission from your home institution.
You may be required to provide proof that you have the necessary prerequisite courses for the course(s) you are applying for.
You are required to fill out an Internal Application and submit it to the Registrar’s office by the application deadline for the term to which you want to be admitted.
Visiting students are required to submit a letter of permission along with their internal application.
Part-time applicants may be required to submit their secondary school transcript directly to UOIT by the issuing educational institution. UOIT will accept a secondary school transcript in a signed, sealed envelope hand-delivered or mailed to us if the issuing institution can’t submit it directly.
Note: Part-time study is limited to two courses per semester as per our Academic Calendar.
UOIT is unable to accommodate part-time applications to the following programs and courses:

Bachelor of Health Science (Honours)
Bachelor of Health Science (Honours), Kinesiology
Bachelor of Health Science (Honours), Medical Laboratory Science
Bachelor of Science (Honours), Nursing

Post-secondary credentials gained outside Canada may be subject to a request to be authenticated by World Education Services (WES).
Wednesday, November 30, 2016 Deadline to submit an internal application for the Winter semester (January 2017).
Friday, March 31, 2017 Deadline to submit an internal application for the Spring/Summer session (May 2017).
Monday, July 31, 2017 Deadline to submit an internal application for the Fall semester (September 2017).
All applicants must provide proof of English language proficiency. This requirement can be satisfied with one of the following criteria:
Your first language is English.
You have completed at least three years of formal, full-time study (no less than three courses per semester) at a secondary or post-secondary institution where the language of instruction and examination is English.
