English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program

If you have met all of the university’s admission requirements except for the English language proficiency requirement, you can enrol in an EAP program.

The university has an agreement with EAP providers who offer this program. If you enrol in one of these programs, you will receive a conditional acceptance from the university. By successfully completing the program level indicated on the chart below, you can begin your degree program without further testing.

Applicants who complete Rosedale Academy's English Global Gateway ESLE0 course with a 70% minimum will enter Level 5 of the EAP program at the UOIT English Language Centre

Upon successfully completing the EAP program, students will meet the English language proficiency requirements of most undergraduate and graduate programs at the university and will not need to take an English language proficiency test to qualify for admission.
