Accommodations for students with disabilities

The University of Ontario Institute of Technology is committed to providing accessible and equal education so all students can succeed in their chosen fields. To support this commitment, the university offers a number of valuable services to students with all types of disabilities, including students who are deaf or hard of hearing, and those with a physical, medical, psychiatric or learning disability as defined in the Ontario Human Rights Code.

To serve students effectively, disability supports and academic accommodation are provided to students through Student Accessibility Services (SAS).

We expect the marks for students with disabilities, who received disability-related accommodations in high school or during a previous degree or diploma program, will accurately reflect their academic ability. If you were not accommodated for all or part of your high school, or previous diploma or degree program, or believe there are extenuating circumstances related to disability which negatively impacted your grades, you may be eligible for consideration on this basis.
